Bandung, April 24, 2025 — The Center for Information and Communication Technology Studies (PPTIK) at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) reaffirmed its commitment to advancing research excellence by participating in the Sharing Session organized by the Directorate of Research and Innovation (DRI) ITB, held at the Auditorium, 8th floor of the CRiMSE Building, ITB Ganesha Campus.
Themed “Building a Distinguished Track Record in Research and Innovation”, the event featured Prof. Dr. Satria Bijaksana as the keynote speaker, moderated by Dr. Ir. Grandprix T. M. Kadja. The session was officially opened by Prof. Dr. apt. Elfahmi, Director of DRI ITB, who emphasized ITB’s strategic goal of reaching the top 150 universities worldwide with a targeted citation count of 300,000 by 2030.
Prof. Satria highlighted the importance of academic networking, nurturing student potential, and transforming research challenges into opportunities. He also stressed that impactful research often requires long-term vision, as its effects may unfold over decades, not instantly.
The session echoed a strong message: building a research culture rooted in collaboration, integrity, and meaningful impact is essential—not merely through quantity of publications, but through their quality and real-world contributions.
