Exploring Emerging Trends in AI and Cybersecurity: Insights from a Dynamic FGD Event

On Thursday, January 9, 2025, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was held with the theme “Emerging Trends in AI and Cybersecurity: Challenges and Opportunities.” The event was attended by the Rector of Institut Teknologi Bandung, Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D, who delivered the opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Ir. Y. Bandung, M.T., the head of PPTIK ITB as moderator and Laili Wahyunita, M.Cs as Master of Ceremony. The FGD featured five expert speakers who discussed various aspects of artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity.

The FGD comprised five presentation sessions, each delivered by an expert speaker on the following topics:

  • Securing AI-based Software Systems by Ir. Yudistira Dwi Wardhana Asnar, S.T., Ph.D. from ITB
  • Introducing AI and Data Science for Healthcare in the Biomedical Engineering Research Group by Prof Andriyan Bayu Suksmono, M.T., Ph.D. from ITB
